What is the purpose of using chemicals?

All cleaning products, including "Green" products are chemical in nature.  When using chemicals, one generally wants to make a area look clean or kill the viruses and bacteria on that surface.  The process of killing or making bacteria and viruses no longer harmful is referred to as sanitizing.

How do cleaning chemicals differ?

Cleaning product generally fall into three categories:  Cleaners, Cleaner/Sanitizers, and Manual Abrasion.

What's the difference?

CLEANERS:  Products that contain detergents.  These items make the area look clean but do little to sanitize.

CLEANER/SANITIZERS:  These products contain the same detergents as cleaners but also contain ingredients that sanitize the area.

MANUAL ABRASION:  These products use friction to remove stains.  These products also do little to sanitize.
