Cleaning Chemicals
What is the purpose of
using chemicals?
 |
All
cleaning products, including "Green" products are chemical
in nature. When using chemicals, one generally wants
to make a area look clean or kill the viruses and bacteria
on that surface. The process of killing or making
bacteria and viruses no longer harmful is referred to as
sanitizing. |
How do cleaning
chemicals differ?
 |
Cleaning
product generally fall into three categories:
Cleaners, Cleaner/Sanitizers, and Manual Abrasion.
|
What's
the difference?
 |
CLEANERS:
Products that contain detergents. These items make the
area look clean but do little to sanitize.
|
 |
CLEANER/SANITIZERS: These products contain the same
detergents as cleaners but also contain ingredients that
sanitize the area. |
 |
MANUAL
ABRASION: These products use friction to remove
stains. These products also do little to sanitize.
